WWE CEO Stephanie McMahon resigns. According to CNN, four days after Vince McMahon was elected as the executive chairman of the WWE board, Stephanie McMahon, his daughter, quit her position as WWE chairwoman and co-CEO. When Stephanie resigned, she released a statement. In a statement, Stephanie McMahon said, "I cannot put into words how proud I am to have helped lead what I consider to be the greatest company in the world." Stephanie McMahon said in a statement, "I am confident WWE is in the perfect position to continue providing unparalleled creative content and driving maximum value for shareholders." A statement was also issued by Vince, who was previously the subject of an investigation into allegations of sexual misconduct with employees.
